In the Arts

See this week’s Banner to read about the beginning of the Eugene O’Neill Society’s conference which takes place from June 15-20. The conference, being held for the first time in Provincetown, offers a series of workshops, lectures, readings and theater on subjects related to O’Neill and to playwright Susan Glaspell. The Glaspell Society will also attend.

Also read about the wacky world of outer space drag performer Dina Martina; a preview of the Provincetown International Film Festival which begins on Wednesday, a review of the book “Midnight Assassin,” a true story of murder in 1900 that was the basis for Glaspell’s play “Trifle” and her short story “A Jury of Her Peers;” The Provincetown Theater hires a new managing director; listings; briefs; and more.
