In the Arts
Director Peter Earle has managed to pull together a solid and entertaining musical with “Oliver,” adapted by Lionel Bart from the Charles Dickens’ novel “Oliver Twist.” The large cast, with many children, sings well together, the choreography is excellent and Pam Banas’s costumes are good-looking. The soloists, particularly Evyn Newton who plays young Oliver and Lauren Piselli as Nancy, do a bang-up job. See this week’s Banner for the full theater review.
