In the Arts
Read about a theatrical second chance in this week’s Banner. When actress Molly Ward was approached to star in Eugene O’Neill’s “Before Breakfast,” a little-known one act, she was psyched. It was, after all, a piece she was supposed to perform years ago. “Before Breakfast” will show along with another of O’Neill’s short plays, “The Rope,” and the Tennessee Williams plays “These Are the Stairs You Got to Watch” and “Summer at the Lake,” as part of “Spend the Weekend with Eugene and Tennessee.”
The New Provincetown Players production open this weekend, showing at 7:30 p.m. Friday through Sunday, with an additional 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday, at The Provincetown Theater, 238 Bradford St., Provincetown. It continues to run every weekend through May 28. Tickets are $22, $19 for students, seniors and NPP members. A special $11 senior matinee will be held May 14. Call (508) 487-9793 for reservations or go online to ptowntix.org.
