In the Arts
Throughout the last century, members of the Provincetown Portuguese community, most obviously through its fishing industry, formed a close alliance with members of the town’s growing art community. That bond is being looked at and celebrated in an exhibition, “Net Working: The Portuguese Community and the Arts — Inspiration, Sustenance and Support,” which opens Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Pilgrim Monument and Provincetown Museum (PMPM) on High Pole Hill in Provincetown. The exhibit will remain on display through Oct. 10. Read the story about this exhhbit in this week’s Banner.
