Several generations of television viewers likely know Charles Nelson Reilly as a fixture on TV in the ‘70s and ‘80s. In his trademark owl glasses and frequent flamboyant attire, he was a perennial guest on “The Tonight Show” and “The Merv Griffin Show”; he lobbed double-entendres on “The Match Game” and “Hollywood Squares” and made countless guest appearances on iconic shows including “Love, American Style,” “The Love Boat” and “Rowan and Martin’s Laugh-In.”
In this week’s Banner read about “The Life of Reilly,” which opens the Provincetown International Film Festival on June 14, is a documentary account of Reilly’s one-man stage show. The festival continues through June 18 with feature films, documentaries, awards and special events.
