What if you were kidnapped before you were two? Sold into slavery in a traveling circus? Shipped off to a research lab to be subjected to decades of painful procedures? What if you had to spend the rest of your life isolated and alone? America’s government and private industry does this to hundreds of our closest relatives every year. PBS is airing a special, “Chimpanzees: An Unnatural History” by filmmaker and Cape resident Allison Argo at 8 p.m. on Sunday. Read more about this documentary in this week’s Banner.
Also in the this week’s Banner, read about the new photography exhibit by James Zimmerman in Truro; an introduction to this year’s 20 Fine Arts Work Center visual and writing fellows; a movie review of “This Movie Not Yet Rated”; listing; briefs and more.
