Looking for love’s last frontier
Albee play questions what is normal?
By Sue Harrison Banner Staff
Bestiality. It’s been snickered about, whispered about and in the case of Catherine the Great, became the stuff of urban legend. But what if things shifted? What if it wasn’t just about sex? What if it was not lust but love?
That is the question that Edward Albee takes up in “The Goat, or Who is Sylvia?” being performed by the New Provincetown Players at The Provincetown Playhouse from May 18 through June 3.
Read an interview with the director of “The Goat” and the leading lady in this week’s Provincetown Banner.
Also in the A&E section, read about the Art Association’s Spring Consignment Auction coming up on Saturday; a review of the movie “Black Book”; this week’s offering in the PAAM Film Series; Falcon Ridge Folk Festival tour coming to WOMR; Limon & Early read at FAWC; listings and more.
