Meet the new town manager

The Provincetown Board of Selectmen will host a "Meet Town Manager Sharon Lynn" event from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday, April 20, in the Judge Welsh hearing room at Town Hall, 260 Commercial St. Refreshments will be served.
The selectmen are inviting town employees, town residents and any other interested parties to come and meet the manager as she begins her tenure in town.
Lynn has just taken over for long-time manager Keith Bergman who left his job this week after 17 years. Lynn was chosen from a large field of candidates and has experience in both municipal government and law enforcement. Interestingly, Lynn was previously considered for the job of police chief a few years back. One of her early duties now may be to hire someone for that position.
