The corner of Shank Painter Road and Brown Street is a slowdown spot as Shank Painter traffic is brought to one lane and Brown Street funnels detour traffic from Bradford Street onto Shank Painter.

This page is updated as often as DPW has new information. The constantly updated page will remain posted in the Banner Daily Update until the construction is complete.

Bradford Street Crew #1

June 4 Finish installing sewer pipe in Bradford up to Pleasant St.

June 4 — June 8 Finishing of MH inverts, set frames and covers, testing and paving. Complete Bradford West

Shank Painter Road/ Rt. 6 Crew #1

June 7 — 8 Dewatering connection at Rt. 6 location

June 11 – June 22 Begin installing sewer in Shank Painter Road from Liquor Store to Province Rd.


Shank Painter Road Crew #2

June 4 – June 6 Install sewer and FM up to GU/Liquor Store entrance and connect to existing 8” FM

June 7 – June 22 Install sewer on Shank Painter Road in front of Fire Station and working toward Bradford.

Sewer construction schedule is subject to change. Seek alternative routes if possible. Any questions or concerns should be directed to Ron Gamella at the Department of Public Works 508-487-7060.
