Memorial Service for Honey Black Kay
Banner Daily Update posted Thurs. June 7
By Sue Harrison Banner Staff
Long time Provincetown summer resident Honey Black Kay died peacefully in her sleep in New York City on Wednesday night. Her children and her partner Barbara Cohen were with her throughout her last few months of illness.
They want her friends to know that some of her last spoken words were, “Everything’s perfect.”
There will be a Memorial Service this Sunday, June 10, at 1:15 p.m. at Riverside Memorial Chapel, 180 W. 76th St., NY, NY.
Public parking is available across the street from the chapel that is located on the corner of 76th and Amsterdam. If you are coming in from out of town, note that the Puerto Rican parade is happening on Fifth Avenue on Sunday and extra time should be allowed to get into the city.
An obituary will appear in the June 14 Provincetown Banner. A Memorial Service on the Cape will be held at a later date.
Anyone wishing to make a memorial donation may do so by giving to Helping Our Women, PO Box 1376, Provincetown, MA 02657.
