The Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater is hosting Selected Shorts, a presentation of Symphony Space in New York, for two extraordinary evenings of classic and new short stories written by local authors and read by the region’s finest actors, directors and writers.
The readings will take place at 8:15 pm Monday and Tuesday at WHAT’s Julie Harris Stage on Route 6 in Wellfleet.
Hosted by Isaiah Sheffer, each night will present different authors and readers and the event will be recorded by Cape and Islands NPR for re-broadcast. Highlights include “Custody,” by Pamela Painter and read by Laura Esterman, “to mock the years” by Arturo Vivante and read by Jeff Zinn, and “White Angel” by Michael Cunningham and read by Isaiah Sheffer.
Premiere ticket holders attend a July 3rd post-show reception with event presenters, complete with elegant hors d'oeuvres and delicious fine wine at Winslow’s Tavern.
