11 arrested in outer Cape drug raids
TRURO — A coordinated drug raid Saturday yielded 11 arrests as well as seizure of more than 55 grams of cocaine in Truro, Provincetown and Orleans.
At approximately 5 a.m. this Saturday morning, the Truro Police Dept. working with the Provincetown Police Dept., assisted by the Barnstable County Sheriff's Dept. and the SWAT team of the Cape Cod Regional Law Enforcement Council, executed a search warrant at 8A Highland Road in North Truro. Five individuals were arrested at this location: Mark J. Joiner of North Truro, charged with distributing a controlled substance and trafficking; Courtney L. Sullivan of Dennis, charged with possession of a controlled substance and trafficking; Darryl C. White of North Truro, charged with possession of a controlled substance and trafficking; Diveron N. Anderson of Plymouth, charged with distributing a controlled substance and trafficking; Robert W. McWilliams of North Truro, charged with distributing a controlled substance and trafficking.
In the Highland Road search over 28 grams of cocaine and more than $4,000 in cash were seized as well as a small amount of marijuana.
At the same time, police, working in two teams, served four additional arrest warrants in Provincetown and Truro: Tariq S. Hassan of Provincetown, charged with distributing a controlled substance; Jeremiah C. Braley of Provincetown, charged with distributing a controlled substance; Stephen J. Martinez of Provincetown, charged with distributing a controlled substance; Michael A. Telfer of Truro charged with distributing a controlled substance.
In addition, Angel Collazo of Truro, who was charged with distributing a controlled substance, turned himself in and was arrested at the Truro police station.
Later that day, at approximately 5:30 p.m., with the assistance of the Orleans Police Dept., Truro police officers arrested Ricardo Cora Jr. of the Bronx, N.Y., at the Wendy's Parking lot in Orleans and charged him with possession of a controlled substance and trafficking. At the time of his arrest he was in possession of approximately 35 grams of cocaine and $1,300 in cash.
These arrests are the result of a six-month investigation by the Truro Police Dept. with assistance from the Provincetown Police Dept.
