Seashore advisory board meets Monday

WELLFLEET — The Cape Cod National Seashore Advisory Commission meets at 1 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 24, at Seashore headquarters on Marconi Site Road in Wellfleet.
Discussion topics on the agenda include the North of Highland Campground acquisition, off-road vehicles and piping plovers, the environmental impact statement on hunting, wind turbines, zoning bylaws, the overwash at South Beach in Chatham, the National Park Service’s “Centennial Challenge,” and the dune shacks.
The National Seashore Advisory Commission, which acts as a liaison between citizens and the National Seashore administration, is composed of representatives from each of the six towns in the Seashore, Barnstable County and the state, which has two members.
The public is welcome to attend the meetings or contact the representative from their town to discuss topics of interest.
