PROVINCETOWN – Hoping to build on the success of the business summit held Oct. 18th, a second public forum is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 28.
The summit will be at the Crown & Anchor Inn, 247 Commercial St., from noon to 4 pm. There is no cost to attend the event and lunch will be served.
Town Manager Sharon Lynn said the format will be similar to the first summit, with attendees breaking into small groups to develop action steps to help stimulate economic development in town. The forum in October was attended by over 100 people who developed a long list of ways business owners, residents and town government could work together to create a year-round economy.
Lynn said the goal of Wednesday’s business summit will be to take the action steps from the first meeting and “cull those into a shorter list.”
“The business community wants to be part of defining and implementing change. From my perspective, some of the meaningful government-related issues are quicker response time for permits, permitting fees, communication. Those are ones I’d be looking at from a government perspective,” she said.
