Snow emergency

Parking ban in effect
A snow emergency parking ban went into effect in Provincetown around noon on Thursday and will remain in effect until the winter storm has passed and roads are sufficiently cleared. In addition to Commercial Street, all streets with snow emergency ban signs must be cleared for plowing. Cars on marked streets will be towed.
Schools
Provincetown schools let out around noon
Truro Central School sent students home at 12:45 pm
Nauset schools including Wellfleet Elementary will not close early but all after school programs are cancelled and there are no late buses
All schools expect a regular schedule for Friday
Traffic
Traffic conditions after 1 p.m. became hazardous as surface roads became slippery. A rollover occurred in Wellfleet at approximately 1:45 p.m. but it is believed the driver was uninjured.
MEMA
The state activated limited level response teams for the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency offices in Tewksbury, Agawam and Bridgewater to aid local communities with snow emergencies.
