A smooth and spicy year’s end coming up

This weekend begins two chances to get with the de-loungeful delights of two of the town’s favorite entertainers, Suede and Lea DeLaria. Suede kicks off the year’s end celebrations on Sunday and DeLaria does the honors on New Year’s Eve on Monday night.

Suede is coming to town for her New Year’s Eva with The Diva concert Dec. 30 at 8 p.m. at the Crown & Anchor, 247 Commercial St. in Provincetown. Suede will be performing with pianist Janice Friedman, bass player Chris Rathbun and drummer Bart Weisman.

Tickets are now available at www.suedewave.com. VIP seats are $50 while general admission is $25. Pre-concert dinners in the Central House at the Crown get preferred seating for the concert as well.

DeLaria gives a Swinging New Year’s Eve performance Dec. 31 at 8 p.m. at the Art House, 214 Commercial St. in Provincetown. With jazz and comedy on the menu, the doors open at 7 p.m. for champagne and hors d’oeuvres. The entertainer will be joined by her quintet, The Dirty Martinis.

Tickets are $40 to $45. She reprises her Delightful, Delicious DeLaria show of Cole Porter music and comedy Dec. 29 at 8 p.m., also at the Art House. Tickets for this performance are $25. All tickets are available at Capetix.com or (866) 811-4111.
