Banner Staff
Two rabies clinics will be held on the Outer Cape this weekend, in Eastham and Provincetown, on Saturday, April 5.
One is being held in Provincetown at the Herring Cove Animal Clinic, 79 Shank Painter Road, from 10 a.m. to noon. The cost is $10; only cash is accepted.
Provincetown’s animal control officer, Ruth Anne Cowing, says those wanting a rabies shot for their pet will need to bring a copy of their most recent rabies certificate to help determine if the shot administered at this rabies clinic will be valid for up to three years. Without such proof each vaccine given at the rabies clinic will be valid for only one year. The Herring Cove Clinic can be reached at (508) 487-6449.
In Eastham, a rabies clinic will be held by the town’s animal control officer, Diana Palm, in conjunction with Eastham Veterinary Hospital. The clinic will be held from 10 a.m. to noon at the Eastham Police Facility, 2600 Route 6; call with questions, (508) 255-0551.
