The Provincetown Center for Coastal Studies is having its first student art show and has put out the call for entries. Students or their parents are urged to submit student artwork this week.
The show, Coastal and Marine Life, begins on Earth Day, April 22, and will hang at the Hiebert Marine Library at the PCCS building on Prince Street in Provincetown through Labor Day. The show is open to students in grades K-5 from Provincetown and Truro schools. Aspiring young artists are asked to submit either 2-dimensional or 3-dimensional pieces that use marine life of the coastal environment as the theme.
Individual submissions can be dropped off at Center from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 14-18 or teaches may submit the work of an entire class.
For more information, call the Center at (508) 487-3623 ext. 107 or email whalewatch@coastalstudies.org.
