PROVINCETOWN — A fund-raising walk for the American Heart Association will be held for the first time in Provincetown, with registration starting at 9 a.m. Sunday, April 27, at Seamen’s Bank on Commercial Street.
The walk is being sponsored by Seamen’s Bank and will begin in the bank’s parking lot on Commercial Street. It will proceed west on Commercial to the roundabout, then along Provincelands Road to Bradford Street Extension, then east on Bradford to Shank Painter Road. On Shank Painter just before Route 6, the walk will turn right onto Jerome Smith Road, right on Winslow, then left onto High Pole Hill, cross Bradford to Standish, turn right on Commercial Street and then end back at Seamen’s Bank.
A group from Seamen’s Bank has long been active in the American Heart Association fundraising walk, which formerly started at Nauset Regional High School. In the past the group has included kids from the Provincetown schools. On the same day, walks will be held also in Hyannis and Sandwich.
Walkers may sign up for the walk at Seamen’s Bank.
