Candidates Night set for April 24

PROVINCETOWN — A Candidates Night is scheduled to be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 24, in the auditorium at Provincetown High School, Winslow St. Ron Robin will serve as moderator.
Town residents, both full-time and part-time, are urged to come armed with questions for candidates of both the May 6 town election and the June 3 special election.
All candidates will be invited to make a brief opening statement. After the moderator asks the candidates a series of questions, the floor will be opened to the audience for questions.
In the May 6 election, five candidates are running for two three-year selectmen terms: George Bryant, Bryan Green, David Cleveland, Elaine Anderson and incumbent Michele Couture. In the June 3 election, five candidates are running for one three-year term: Keith Amato, David Bedard, Patricia Benatti, Bryan Green and former police chief Ted Meyer.
Sponsoring the Candidates Night are the Provincetown Business Guild, the Provincetown Chamber of Commerce and the Provincetown Banner. WOMR-FM 92.1 and PTV Channel 17 also will be covering the event.
