An ambitious plan to rescue the Provincetown’s historical documents from the attic where they’ve been languishing is slowly gaining momentum. Last week the Historical Commission agreed to support a plan to bring thousands of virtually inaccessible photos and documents to light by digitally scanning them for a public access website. Town Clerk Doug Johnstone is spearheading the effort, called the History Preservation Project. See this week’s Banner for the story.
