Robert Weisser
Former Truro resident
Robert Weisser, a former resident of North Truro, died Dec. 23 in Pattaya, Thailand, in an apparent suicide.
Mr. Weisser moved with his parents to the Outer Cape in the early ’60s. He graduated from Provincetown High School in 1964. His parents owned and operated the Ocean Breeze Cottages in North Truro. Mr. Weisser later converted the cottages to condominiums.
After leaving the Cape, Mr. Weisser lived in a variety of places and for the past several years split his time between Costa Rica and Thailand. He had been suffering from a brain tumor and was said to be in declining health and nearly constant pain for the past few months, according to a nurse-housekeeper he employed in Thailand.
