Dorothy M. Grant-Hebert, 92, of Provincetown, formerly of Ipswich, died serenely April 24 after a long illness at the Cape End Manor in Provincetown. She is the wife of Arthur Hebert of Provincetown.
Born in Franklin on Aug. 10, 1912, she was the daughter of the late James and Helen (Killian) Clapham. Mrs. Grant-Hebert lived and raised her family in Ipswich. She was a member of Ascension Memorial Church in Ipswich, and was employed by the Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company for over 20 years.
She and her first husband, the late John E. Grant of Ipswich, moved to North Truro in 1971 to manage Pilgrim Beach Village Resort, and she ultimately retired in her beloved Cape Cod.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Carol Grant of San Diego, Ca.; a granddaughter, Katherine Grant, also of San Diego, Calif.; a sister, Eva Setaro of Worcester; a brother, William Clapham of Leominster; and numerous nieces and nephews. A daughter, Judith Grant, and her husband, Brainard Wallace of Ipswich, predeceased her.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, May 18, at St. Mary of the Harbor Episcopal Church, 517 Commercial St., Provincetown. Burial will be private.
