Jack Futch, 71
Building contractor, greens keeper
Jack Futch, 71, of North Truro died Friday at Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis. He was the husband of Joyce (Silva) Futch.
Born and educated in Groveland, Ga., he was the son of the late Harry and Berdie (Jones) Futch. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War and later was assigned to the Air Station in North Truro.
He was a well-known building contractor in Provincetown and Truro for many years. He later became greens keeper at the Highland Links Golf Course in North Truro, retiring three years ago.
He enjoyed golf and his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Joyce Futch, and his daughters, Lori Meads of Truro, Joy Reis of Provincetown and Tracy Futch of Hyannis. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Laytin and Jada Reis of Provincetown and Emily Meads of Truro.
