Timothy E. Silvia, 40

North Truro native co-owned Pleasant View Auto Body

Timothy E. Silvia, 40, of North Truro, died on Saturday in Provincetown.

Born and raised in North Truro, he was the son of Emanuel “Sonny” and Susan (Harris) Silvia. A graduate of Cape Cod Regional Technical High School, he was an auto body technician and co-owned Pleasant View Auto Body in North Truro with his childhood friend, Roddy Artruc.

Mr. Silvia enjoyed riding motorcycles, NASCAR and restoring automobiles. He also loved spending time with his children and going camping.

In addition to his parents in North Truro, he is survived by a son, Brandon Donahue of Wellfleet; a daughter, Meredith Hatchard of Brewster; and a step-son, James Rego of Wellfleet. He also is survived by three brothers, David Silvia of Truro, and Peter Silvia and Michael Silvia, both of Medford; a sister, Jenny Smith of North Eastham; a maternal grandmother, Ruth Griswold of Maine; aunts Mary Louise Silvia of North Truro, Ann Kelly of Truro and Catherine Anderskow of Illinois; uncles Wright Harris of Rhode Island and Butch Joseph and Kenneth Joseph, both of Truro; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family and friends are invited to call at the McHoul Funeral Home, Howland Street and Harry Kemp Way in Provincetown, from 4 to 7 p.m. today, Thursday. Memorial prayers will be at 6:30 p.m.

Memorial donations may be made to the Truro Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 2013, Truro, MA 02666, or the Provincetown Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 109, Provincetown, MA 02657.
