Dorothy G. Thimas, 85
Founding member of Grace Chapel, Wellfleet
Dorothy G. (Cosmos) Thimas, 85, died on Feb. 13 at her home in South Wellfleet. She was the wife of the late Manuel G. “Mannie” Thimas.
Born and raised in New Bedford, she moved to Wellfleet in 1948 from Carver. She was a founding member of Grace Chapel Assembly of God in South Wellfleet, having begun the work with a home Bible study in the 1960s. She was active in the church until her passing.
Ms. Thimas is survived by two sons, Paul and Donald of South Wellfleet, and several nieces and nephews. She was also mother of the late Lee Dodson of San Diego.
Visiting hours will be 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 19, at the Nickerson Funeral Home in Wellfleet. Burial will be private. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
