Loring A. Ventura, 94

Provincetown native, PHS grad & commercial fisherman

Loring A. Ventura, 94, died Feb. 10 in Corona, Calif. He was the husband of the late Gwendolyn (Edwards) Ventura. They were married for 58 years.

Mr. Ventura was born and raised in Provincetown and graduated from Provincetown High School.

He was a commercial fisherman, and was also the owner-operator of Manchester Seafood in Manchester, Conn. for more than 20 years.

He had also lived in Rockville and Coventry, Conn., in Brownsville, Texas and most recently in Corona.

Mr. Ventura is survived by a son, Loring “John” Ventura of New Port Richey, Fla.; four daughters, B. Naomi Williams of Brownsville, Audrey Rodriques of Corona, Rebecca Ventura of Coventry and Loretta Toti of Vernon, Conn.; and 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Services are at the convenience of the family.
