OBITUARIES

Blanche N. Hagen, 88

Blanche N. (Small) Hagen, 88, died on Wednesday, April 19, at EPOCH Senior Healthcare in Brewster. She was the wife of the late Frances Hagen.

Mrs. Hagen was born in Somerville. After she graduated from Somerville High in 1936, she moved to West Orange, N.J., where she worked as an aide at the Montefiore Hospital and later as a dental assistant. She later moved to North Truro where she met Mr. Hagen, whom she married in 1955. She worked as a housekeeper for various people for 25 years. She is a former Deacon and member of the Christian Union Church in North Truro, and she enjoyed knitting, bingo, dog track and TV. She has lived in Brewster since 1996.

Mrs. Hagen is survived by a son, John Hagen of Orleans, a daughter, Jean Woods of Williamsburg, and two grandchildren.

A graveside service was held in Old North Cemetery in Truro on Monday, April 24.

Memorial donations in her memory may be made to the Christian Union Church, Route 6A, Truro, MA 02666.
