Ruth (Wilkins) Alexander, 85
Lifelong resident was Mayflower descendent
Ruth (Wilkins) Alexander, 85, of Provincetown, died on Aug. 21 at the Cape End Manor in Provincetown. Mrs. Alexander was the wife of the late John J. Alexander, who died in 1981.
She was a lifelong resident of Provincetown and the daughter of the late Theodore and Elizabeth (Healy) Wilkins. She was very proud of the fact that she was a Mayflower descendant.
She is survived by her beloved family: her son and daughter, Warren Alexander of Provincetown and Jane Notaro of Brewster; six grandsons, Brian Alexander of Provincetown, Glenn Alexander of Shrewsbury, Keith Alexander of Hanover, Daniel Notaro of Harwich, Jeff Notaro of Provincetown and Lt. Gregory Notaro USN of Berwick, Maine; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Theodore Wilkins, Eleanor Tibbetts and Adelaide Kenney.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the McHoul Funeral Home, 94 Harry Kemp Way, Provincetown, on Friday morning from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. A graveside service will follow in the Provincetown cemetery at 11 a.m.
