Leonard Peterson

Leonard “Pete” Peterson died at his home in New Smyrna Beach, Fla., on Dec. 4.

Mr. Peterson was born in Chicago, Ill., the son of Olga (Ekegren) and Anders Richard Peterson, both deceased.

In the 1950s Mr. Peterson served with the Army Quartermaster Corp. He was a carpenter and the owner of Pete’s Lawn Service.

He married Carol (Green) Peterson Wesseldine, daughter of Ernestine and the late William Michael of Provincetown and New Smyrna Beach, and had three children. He later married Grace Mary Foster, who passed away in 1995.

He is survived by two daughters, Lynann Campbell and husband Edward of Bradyville, Tenn., and Mary Taylor of New Smyrna Beach; one son, Robert and wife Laurie Peterson of Provincetown and Michigan City, Ind.; seven grandchildren, Rachael Michael of Provincetown, Christopher Yazel of Provincetown, Brandy, Becky and Mark Hare of New Smyrna Beach and Dennis and Adrian Campbell of Bradyville; and three great-grandchildren, Carlie Campbell of Bradyville, and Briar and Cameron Hare of New Smyrna Beach.
