Patricia Anne Curtis, 73
Provincetown native, mother of six
Patricia Anne Curtis, 73, of Indianapolis, Ind., died on Monday, April 2.
She was born on Jan. 11, 1934, in Provincetown to the late Remigio and Mary (Foster) Roda. She attended Provincetown High School, graduating in 1951.
She met her husband, Glen, when he was stationed at the North Truro Air Force Base. After his return from overseas, they lived for a brief while in South Carolina, where their oldest child was born, before moving to Indianapolis. Mrs. Curtis was a librarian and homemaker and enjoyed knitting, doing crossword puzzles, reading and using her computer.
She is survived by her husband, Glen Curtis, of Indianapolis; a daughter, Mary Blackwell, of Sunberry, Pa.; four sons, Glen Curtis, Richard Curtis and Brian Curtis, all of Indianapolis, and David Curtis, of North Carolina; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and two sisters, Ruth Souza, of Plymouth, and Nancy Codispoti, of Fredericksburg, Va.
She was predeceased by her son, Ron, of Indianapolis; three brothers, Charles, who died in infancy, Richard F. Roda, of Pennsylvania, and Remigio S. “Ray” Roda Jr., of New Jersey; and two sisters, Mary Elizabeth “Liz” Donaldson, of Virginia, and Jean Fish, of Ohio. Her brother, Anthony S. Roda, died later on the same day as she.
A memorial service was held on April 5 at the Curtises’ home.
