Charles R. Herrmann, 86
WW II vet was avid fisherman
Charles R. Herrmann, 86, of Stirling, N.J., formerly of Truro, died Dec. 22 at The Chelsea of Warren in Warren, N.J. He was the husband of Vera Blacher Herrmann, who died in 1997.
Born in Stirling, he resided there for 50 years. He served in the Army during WW II.
Mr. Herrmann was a plumbing and heating contractor in Stirling, and owned and operated Charles Herrmann and Son Plumbing and Heating. He was a member of the Passaic Township Chamber of Commerce in New Jersey.
Mr. Herrmann retired at 50 and moved to Truro. In his retirement he was an avid fisherman.
He returned to Stirling in August of 2007.
He is survived by two daughters, Pamela and her husband. Walter Theivon, of Stirling. and Andrea Potter of Cobb Island, Md.; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were private. Gallaway and Crane Funeral Home of Basking Ridge, N.J., handled arrangements.
