Annette Savage, 94
Annette Savage, 94, of Provincetown died from respiratory failure on Saturday, April 5, at Cape Cod Hospital.
Annette, known as "Gram" by most, grew up on a farm in Stoughton and worked as a seamstress from the age of 16 to 76.
After retiring, she moved to Provincetown where she was loved by all who knew her. She was everybody's grandma whether you were four or 64. Her love of reading made her a regular at the Provincetown Library where she would bribe the librarians with her homemade cookies in order to get the latest release of a mystery novel. Her passion for gardening didn't go unnoticed either as she had some of the biggest tulips, peonies and irises in town. Tomatoes were her specialty.
She loved and adopted all animals but had a fondness for cats. She will be greatly missed by countless friends, family, neighbors and caregivers, but especially by Kathy and Donna and the staff at Front Street where Gram was a part of the family.
Visiting hours will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 10, at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton. A mass will be held later that day, at noon, at St. Casmir’s Church, 21 Sawtell Ave., Brockton.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to CASAS, P.O. Box 1374, Provincetown, MA. 02657, or to the Provincetown Library.
