OBITUARIES

Olga E. Lyons, 81


The daughter of the late John and Olga (Peterson) Vantura, Olga was born on Aug. 25, 1927. She was raised and educated in Belmont and Provincetown, and was a graduate of Tufts University.

She was married to her beloved husband, the late Frederick T. Lyons Jr., for 56 years. They lived in Chappaqua, N.Y., for 35 years and were parishioners at St. John’s and St. Mary’s. They moved to Duxbury 16 years ago.

Olga is survived by her six children, John (and Marjorie) Lyons, of Larchmont, N.Y., Susan Lyons, of San Jose, Calif., Maryann (and George) Civita, of Ellicott City, Md., Patricia Lyons, of Brewster, N.Y., Kathleen (and Patrick) Vaughan, of Norwell, and Frederick T. (and Jennifer) Lyons III, of Pound Ridge, N.Y.; and 11 grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sept. 4 at Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington St., Route 53, Hanover. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Sept. 5 at Holy Family Church, 601 Tremont St., Route 3A, Duxbury.
