Time for the Turkey Day challenge
Thanksgiving morning means gridiron action for the Nauset Warriors and the Dolphins from Dennis-Yarmouth, as the regional rivals meet for the 12th annual Chowder Bowl at 10 a.m. Thursday in Yarmouth.
The Dolphins have won the last four meetings, lead the series 6-5 and will go into this one as a heavy favorite. Now 9-1, their only loss was in their last game at Marshfield (21-13). A win against Nauset may mean sharing the Atlantic Coast League title, depending on how Marshfield and Plymouth North fare in their games. Nauset has had a couple of close losses in their 1-9 season and has seen much improvement. Quarterback Connor Seymour has six touchdown passes to wide receiver Jon Rouillard. Brendon Scalley and Joe Madden lead their ground game. —KM
